Abstract |
Background. Acute paraproctitis is one of the most frequent diseases in the structure of urgent coloproctological nosologies. Despite the achievements in recent years, mortality in patients with anaerobic paraproctitis remains high, and the number of early and late complications after surgical treatment has no tendency to decrease. The aim was an expanded assessment of complications of acute paraproctitis to develop a system of measures aimed at their prevention. Materials and methods. The results of treatment of 1509 patients with acute paraproctitis were analyzed. Depending on the prevailing etiological factor, patients were divided into two comparable groups. Analysis of postoperative complications was performed. The comparison of the traditionally used classifications of complications and the extended gradation of complications according to Clavien – Dindo in the compared groups of patients was carried out. Results. It was revealed that the reliability of statistical analysis by traditionally used methods and the Clavien – Dindo method allows obtaining similar data. Conclusions. The Clavien – Dindo classification not only provides statistical information, but also allows to predict the effectiveness of the chosen tactics for treating complications. |
